We are looking for Engineer to be based in Chennai, India. You have an opportunity to be part of the team that delivers projects services globally to pulp and energy industry.

You will be handling Global services cases of Boiler Retrofit / Upgrade projects and time to time provide support to global projects coming from HQ based in Finland / Sweden.

The successful candidate is expected to perform the following tasks;

- Diploma / bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the pulp and Energy industry.
- Design, develop, and document mechanical systems and components for Valmet s products, particularly in the pulp, paper, and energy sectors.
- Create and manage 3D models and detailed engineering drawings.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
- Participate in design reviews and support product lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
- Maintain documentation in line with engineering schedules and budgets.
- Provide necessary support to sales team on estimation,



preliminary drawing preparation and queries during sales phase.
- Working knowledge in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Solid Works and E3D is a prerequisite for this position.
- Understand/study the documentation inputs clearly and raise any discrepancies/ variations before beginning the design work.
- Follow up and expedite the work process from the start to end and liaise with all the departments for timely completion and smooth workflow.
- Review all the in-house drawings and sub-contractor documentation and make sure the right/ accurate/ latest drawings go to fabrication.
- we have close cooperation with colleagues and customers in different places in the world, it is important that you have valuable knowledge of English
- Willingness to travel to client sites >25% of time is required for this position.
