You will own the technical side of enterprise and government sales — from initial discovery through proof-of-concept, proposal, and hand off to delivery. You are equally comfortable at a whiteboard with a CTO and at a terminal running a benchmark.

- Lead technical discovery with prospects — understand their workload profile, existing database stack, compliance requirements, and migration constraints.

- Design and deliver proof-of-concepts and benchmark exercises that demonstrate ShaktiDB's fit for the customer's specific use case.

- Respond to RFPs and RFIs; author the technical sections of proposals and solution documents.

- Build and maintain a library of reference architectures, deployment patterns, and competitive comparisons for common ShaktiDB use cases.

- Act as the primary technical interface between sales, product, and engineering during the pre-sales cycle; surface customer requirements back to the product team.

- Support pilot deployments and early customer onboarding in coordination with the delivery team.

- Present at industry events, webinars, and customer workshops to build ShaktiDB's technical credibility.

Requirements
- Database depth: PostgreSQL at the operational and SQL level — query tuning, replication, HA, backup/restore





- Pre-sales experience: PoC delivery, RFP responses, and technical proposal writing in an enterprise software context

- Architecture fluency: able to design and articulate deployment architectures for BFSI, government, or large enterprise customers

- Migration knowledge: database migration assessment and planning from Oracle, MySQL, or MSSQL to PostgreSQL-compatible targets

- Communication: explicit technical writing; confident presenting to mixed technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience & Education

- 10–12 years in database engineering, solutions architecture, or technical pre-sales.

- Prior exposure to government or BFSI customer engagements strongly preferred.

- Hands-on with Linux; comfortable running benchmarks and debugging deployments independently.

- B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in CS / IT or equivalent.

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with India's data localisation and regulatory landscape (DPDP, RBI, SEBI, NIC guidelines).

- Experience with open-source database commercial models or managed database services.

Prior work with C-DAC, NIC, or other government technology institutions.
