Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in industrial control panel design. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently designing electrical panels, preparing manufacturing drawings, generating BOMs, estimating project costs, and supporting production through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Design electrical control panels, MCCs, VFD panels, PLC panels, Servo Panels, and Automation Panels.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, terminal plans, and cable schedules using EPLAN, WSCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and wiring documentation for production.
- Generate complete Bill of Materials (BOM) with accurate component selection.
- Perform panel costing and estimate project material costs.
- Select suitable electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, MCCBs/MCBs, Contactors, Relays etc
- Design panel layouts considering heat dissipation, cable routing, IP protection, serviceability, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with mechanical, automation, procurement, and production teams for successful project execution.
- Prepare technical documentation for customer approval.
- Provide technical support during panel assembly, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, and customer-specific electrical standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills

Mandatory

- 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial electrical panel design.




- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for GA and panel layout drawings.
- Hands-on experience with EPLAN, WSCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical.
- Thorough knowledge of industrial control panel wiring and electrical schematics.
- Experience in preparing complete panel BOMs.
- Knowledge of panel costing and material estimation.
- Good understanding of electrical protection, control circuits, and power distribution.
- Ability to independently execute complete panel design projects.

Preferred

- Experience with Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Mitsubishi, Parker, Rockwell, Omron, or similar automation products.
- Knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1, and relevant electrical standards.
- Familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems.
- Experience in designing VFD, Servo, MCC, PLC, and process control panels.
- Understanding of busbar sizing, cable sizing, heat-loss calculations, and enclosure selection.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or related discipline.
