Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, and Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend development and working with relational databases in high-performance, scalable environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Utilize open-source libraries and frameworks to build scalable applications.
- Develop and maintain Kafka-based streaming and messaging solutions.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures across relational databases.
- Work in Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and server-side troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and follow coding best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technology adoption.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or above).
- Solid experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of Microservices, Collections, Design Patterns, and Data Structures.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with open-source tools and frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
