Role Overview

We are looking for sharp, detail-oriented Equity Analysts to join our investment research team. You will work closely with the Fund Managers to identify, evaluate, and track high-quality small-cap investment opportunities in the Indian equity markets. This is a high-ownership role suited to someone who wants direct exposure to portfolio decision-making at a lean, high-conviction fund.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on small-cap companies across sectors, including business model analysis, competitive positioning, and management quality assessment
- Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, comparable company analysis, scenario analysis) to arrive at intrinsic valuations
- Perform forensic accounting checks and red-flag screening as part of the fund's "Quality In, Risk Out" framework
- Track quarterly results, concalls, and corporate actions for portfolio and watchlist companies; flag material developments proactively
- Prepare investment notes, thesis documents, and presentations for internal review and investment committee discussions
- Monitor macro, sectoral, and regulatory developments relevant to portfolio holdings
- Assist in due diligence for new investment ideas, including company visits, management interactions, and channel checks
- Support portfolio monitoring, attribution analysis,



and periodic performance reporting
- Collaborate with the founding team on ad hoc research and strategic projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 26 years of relevant experience in equity research (sell-side/buy-side), investment banking, or a related financial analysis role
- Solid grasp of financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and Excel-based financial modeling
- Genuine interest in Indian small-cap equities and a track record of independent stock ideas is a strong plus
- CA / CFA (any level) or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — ability to distill complex analysis into clear, concise notes
- High attention to detail and intellectual honesty in research conclusions
- Self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-moving team with high ownership and minimal hand-holding
- Proficiency in Bloomberg/Screener/Capitaline or similar research tools is a plus
