About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Horticulturist to develop, maintain, and enhance gardens, landscaped areas, plantations, and green spaces within a religious campus at Vanchhara, Padra, Vadodara.

The candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing horticultural activities to create a serene, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally sustainable workplace for devotees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Garden Development & Maintenance

- Develop and maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, ornamental plants, and green spaces.
- Plan seasonal flower plantations and ensure year-round landscape attractiveness.
- Monitor plant health and implement corrective measures when required.

Landscaping & Plantation

- Design, develop, and maintain landscape projects within the religious premises.
- Select suitable trees, shrubs, flowering plants, medicinal plants, and ornamental species considering local climatic conditions.
- Plan and execute plantation drives and green belt development activities.
- Ensure proper spacing, irrigation, and nutrition management of plants.

Plant Protection

- Identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies affecting plants.
- Implement preventive and corrective plant protection measures.
- Promote eco-friendly and organic gardening practices wherever feasible.

Team Coordination

- Supervise gardeners and support staff engaged in horticultural activities.




- Provide guidance on proper gardening and landscape maintenance practices.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all gardening equipment and work areas.

Record Keeping & Reporting

- Maintain records related to plantation activities, plant inventory, maintenance schedules, and consumables.
- Prepare periodic reports on garden development, landscape maintenance, and plantation growth.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.Sc. in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, Landscaping, or related field.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internships or project experience are encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills

- Knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and flowering species suitable for Gujarat climate.
- Understanding of landscape design and garden maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and plant nutrition.
- Familiarity with pest and disease management.
- Good planning, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for greenery, environmental sustainability, and beautification of religious premises.

Experience

- 0 to 5 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, plantation management, nursery operations, or garden maintenance.
- Freshers with strong interest and academic background in horticulture may also apply.
