Role Overview

- Position: NodeJS Developer III (Contingent)
- Experience: 58 years overall (higher experience acceptable if handson)

Mandatory Skill Requirements (NonNegotiable)

Backend / Programming

- Strong Node.js with solid JavaScript / TypeScript fundamentals
- Minimum 3+ years of recent, handson Node.js experience
- Candidates transitioning from Java / J2EE / Spring Boot to Node.js are acceptable, provided recent Node.js exposure is strong
- This is a purely handson coding role

AWS (Critical)

- Handson AWS experience is mandatory (not just deployment exposure)
- Candidate must be able to:
- Debug application issues directly in AWS
- Work with logs, AWS workflows, and Step Functions
- Key services used:
- ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, DynamoDB
- CloudWatch knowledge is expected
- AWS experience: Ideally 3+ years (strong candidates may be evaluated based on depth)

Databases

- Working experience with both:
- SQL (RDS)
- NoSQL (DynamoDB)

Frontend Expectations

- React.js preferred but not mandatory
- Strong backend candidates open to learning/handling React (20% work) are acceptable
- Angular experience is also acceptable as frontend exposure
- Candidates must be open to fullstack work; profiles refusing frontend tasks should be avoided

DevOps / CICD

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Jenkins and AWSbased deployments preferred
- Terraform knowledge is a plus, not mandatory

System Design

- As a Developer III (Senior) role, candidates should have:
- Basic system design and distributed systems understanding
- Considered a baseline expectation

- Location: Bangalore only
- Remote candidates are NOT acceptable

Responsibilities:

- Design and Develop O2Ps platform (consisting of a web application and APIs)




- Contribute to the DevOps functions of scalable, secure & cost-effective customer facing web and software applications in the AWS cloud (Lambda,
- ECS containers, API Gateway, RDS)
- Proactively work to evaluate and adopt technology solutions to build the O2P platform
- Use strong Quality and DevOps practices to build maintainable and extensible solutions. The solutions that you help build are pragmatic and resilient
- and consider the upstream and downstream process and system impacts. You are strongly invested in Unit Testing
- Work to meet Autodesks Built with Forge pillars that encompass Engineering Excellence, Build and Deploy, Operational Excellence, Recoverability
- & Reliability areas
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand the use cases that fuel the business and translate them to functional and non-functional requirements
- Support the products you build in Production
- Mentor and work with team members spread in APAC, EMEA and the US

Minimum Qualifications:

- Consistent with the role, have strong architectural skills and ability to design scalable, available, resilient and cost-effective applications in the cloud
- (preferably AWS). The candidate should have the ability to pick out the right tech stack and tools for the problem to be solved
- Robust technical expertise in building Restful microservices using Node.js with an appropriate data store suited to the problem at hand (should be
- comfortable with both Relational and NoSQL databases)
- Technical expertise in building API and UI.
- Good knowledge of API security and data encryption
- Strong DevOps and Quality mindset with design and implementation experience in the areas of CI/CD, Observability and Test automation
