L2/L3 Network Engineer Enterprise Networking & IT Infrastructure

Hazelnut Cyborg Infra Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced L2/L3 Network Engineer with robust hands-on experience in enterprise networking, LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, firewalls, server room setups, and network troubleshooting.

This role is suitable for professionals who have practical experience working on live network environments and can independently diagnose, troubleshoot, configure, and support enterprise IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN networks.
- Handle L2/L3 network escalations and resolve complex connectivity, routing, switching, VLAN, and performance-related issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, STP/RSTP/MSTP, EtherChannel, DHCP, NAT, ACLs, and routing policies.
- Work with routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routing.
- Troubleshoot WAN connectivity, Internet Leased Lines, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, site-to-site connectivity, broadband, and backup links.
- Configure and troubleshoot firewall policies, NAT, access control rules, IPsec VPN, and SSL VPN.
- Work with enterprise networking and security technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, SonicWall, Juniper, Aruba, and others.
- Handle practical server room and network infrastructure activities, including rack installation, patch panels, structured cabling, copper/fibre connectivity, cable management, and network equipment installation.
- Troubleshoot enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure, access points, wireless coverage, authentication, roaming, and performance issues.
- Participate in network deployment, migration, implementation, site surveys, and infrastructure projects.




- Prepare network diagrams and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support at client locations and project sites as required.
- Work with network monitoring and ITSM/ticketing platforms for incident tracking and resolution.

Required Experience & Skills

- 2-3+ years of practical experience in Network Engineering or IT Infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of LAN, WAN, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and Network Troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with server room and network infrastructure setups.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot L2/L3 network issues.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, VLANs, trunking, NAT, DHCP, DNS, ACLs, STP, and QoS.
- Experience with enterprise networking, WAN connectivity, VPNs, and ISP coordination.
- Exposure to network monitoring or ITSM tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, Grafana, ManageEngine, ServiceNow, Freshservice, or Jira Service Management will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work at client sites and project locations when required.

Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Diploma holders in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related technical discipline may also be considered based on relevant experience.
- CCNA certification is preferred.
- CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or other relevant certifications will be an advantage.
