Purpose/Objective

Executive - Fuel Farm Safety ensures the smooth operation of the fuel farm by monitoring and maintaining all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) protocols. This role involves the implementation of safety procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and liaising with various internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Executive oversees the performance of equipment, incident management, and operational excellence to maintain high service standards

Key Responsibilities of Role

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Implement the Safety Management System (SMS) across the location, ensuring that all HSSE-related procedures are documented, circulated, and executed effectively. Take responsibility for Process Safety and Occupational Safety, acting as the Designated Safety Officer (DSO) at the fuel farm. Ensure compliance with OISD (Oil Industry Safety Directorate) and PESO regulations at the site. Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and firefighting equipment are available, functional, and immediately report any shortages to the Lead - Fuel Farm. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Conduct spot checks and safety audits periodically, document discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Investigate and report near-misses, incidents, and accidents, recommending appropriate corrective and preventive measures. Oversee the work permit system to ensure that all high-risk activities comply with the safety policy. Emergency Response and Incident Management:



Assist in developing and maintaining Emergency Response Plans (ERP) for the fuel farm. Participate in emergency drills and training to ensure readiness for incidents such as spills, fire, or equipment failure. Support investigation of safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Documentation and Reporting: Liaise with the Lead - Fuel Farm, Quality Control Manager, and senior management to ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Manuals are implemented without deviation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, audit reports, checklists, and permits. Ensure all licenses, permits, and certifications are renewed and maintained as per regulatory requirements. Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders: Liaise with fuel farm management, into-plane service providers, airlines, and airport authorities to address operational concerns and service quality. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements Training and Awareness: Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for operational staff to reinforce safety protocols.



Identify training needs and ensure that all personnel are certified for their respective roles in fuel operations. Promote a safety culture by conducting awareness campaigns and engaging employees in continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Competencies

Compliance with Fuel Industry Regulations (OISD, PESO)-AAHL,Data Analysis and Interpretation-AAHL,Emergency Response and Preparedness-AAHL,Fuel Farm Operations-AAHL,Fuel Storage and Transfer Operations-AAHL,Preventive Maintenance-AAHL,Safety Management Systems (SMS)-AAHL

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma Holder in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Safety Management, Aviation or a related field. Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in aviation sector, focused on HSSE. State Govt approved safety course (ADIS) or NEBOSH is preferred.
