Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Unit Finance Head to lead the Finance & Accounts function of our hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, statutory compliance, budgeting, MIS reporting, working capital management, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role requires close collaboration with the Unit Head, Corporate Finance, and other stakeholders to support business decisions while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts
- Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
- Oversee monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Monitor billing accuracy, collections, receivables, and cash management.
- Ensure timely accounting of transactions and proper financial documentation.
- Supervise cash collections and bank remittances.
MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and submit periodic MIS reports to the Unit Head and Corporate Finance.
- Analyze financial performance, revenue, expenses, profitability, and key financial indicators.
- Provide actionable insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Monitor fund flow, cash flow, and working capital requirements.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor annual operating and capital budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support service costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.
- Maintain records of capital expenditure (CAPEX).
Payments & Financial Controls
- Ensure timely processing of payments to doctors, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Verify payment calculations and statutory deductions.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and approve payment transactions.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Handle notices and queries from statutory authorities.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Identify training needs and support team development.
- Ensure the team remains updated on changes in taxation, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in the Hospital or Healthcare industry is preferred.
