JOB DESCRIPTION OF MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring high equipment uptime, productive utility operations, and preventive maintenance systems across all plant, machinery and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in utilities, production and manufacturing machinery, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee complete plant maintenance operations, including machinery, utilities, and infrastructure
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime
- Ensure high uptime and operational efficiency of all production and utility equipment
- Manage and maintain utilities including Compressor, Boiler, Chiller, Chlorination Plant, DM Plant, and ETP
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of production machines such as FFS machines, Bottling lines,



and Labelling machines and manufacturing machines like Mixers and Holding Tanks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to ensure quick resolution
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians.
- Maintain maintenance store and ensure availability of critical spares (pumps, motors, bearing, etc) and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitor utility consumption (power, water, fuel) and drive efficiency and cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements related to equipment and utilities
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and equipment history
- Support audits (internal, external, regulatory) and ensure audit readiness at all times
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and plant efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance within a FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on experience in utilities, production and manufacturing machinery
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, panels & industrial wiring used in manufacturing units
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting
- Proactive mindset with focus on preventive maintenance and continuous improvement
- Good team management and coordination skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
