Role & responsibilities

• Coordinate with the project team to determine procurement needs for civil/electrical projects.
• Source, select, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best quality materials at the most competitive prices.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
• Create and maintain good relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
• Monitor inventory and track project expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Compliance with project specifications and regulations related to purchasing activities.

Preferred candidate profile

- Engineering degree is mandatory.
- Civil / Mechanical / Electrical engineering background preferred.

- Strong local vendor sourcing and supplier development skills.
- Good technical understanding with the ability to read specifications, catalogues, drawings, and data sheets.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with domestic suppliers, contractors,



and internal stakeholders.
- Good negotiation, commercial evaluation, and cost optimization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and preparation of comparative statements (CS).
- Good understanding of the RFQ process, supplier evaluation, procurement documentation, and purchase order procedures.
- Basic knowledge of domestic logistics, transportation, freight coordination, GST, and statutory documentation.
- Ability to maintain procurement trackers, follow up systematically with vendors, and ensure timely closure of pending actions.
- Strong attention to detail in pricing, taxes, freight, specifications, payment terms, and contractual documents.
- Organized, process-driven, and result-oriented with robust time management and coordination skills
