Position Title: Deputy Manager Costing Location: Rewari, Haryana
Role Overview
The Deputy Manager Costing will be responsible for driving cost efficiency, budgeting accuracy, and compliance within the manufacturing plant. The role demands strong analytical skills to interpret complex cost data, proactive collaboration with crossfunctional teams, and adherence to statutory cost accounting standards.
Role and responsibilities
- Costing & Budgeting
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze product costing, standard costs, and variance reports.
- Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with plant operations.
- Cost Control
- Implement cost reduction initiatives across raw materials, utilities, and overheads.
- Track wastage, yield, and efficiency metrics to support lean manufacturing.
- MIS & Reporting
- Generate monthly cost sheets, profitability analysis, and management dashboards.
- Provide actionable insights to plant leadership for decision making.
- Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to Indian Cost Accounting Standards and Companies Act requirements.
- Support statutory cost audits and internal audit reviews.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Partner with production, procurement, and finance teams to align cost structures.
- Provide cost impact analysis for recent product development and CAPEX projects.
Candidate Profile
- Qualification: CMA (Cost & Management Accountant)
- Experience: 57 years postqualification, preferably in manufacturing (packaging, FMCG, or process industries).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting standards SAP FICO Module
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, pivot tables, and financial modelling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
