Responsible for the uninterrupted operation of cargo handling equipment in shifts.
Attending emergency maintenance of the equipment during operation with the least response time to enhance reliability and reduce equipment outages.
In coordination with the Operation Department and Shift In charge he plans major maintenance activities during crane idling time, ensuring availability of men and materials.
Ensure workplace safety by following SOPs and carrying out risk assessments.
Plan and execute various creative ideas to enhance reliability, safety and cost reduction.
Any other tasks assigned by the HOD of engineering.
Skills & Abilities
He should have expertise in diesel engine trouble shooting and maintenance of port equipment like, HMC RTG RST and FLTs, excavators etc.
Diagnostic/trouble shooting skills
Must follow and understand safety practice, Work permit system, HIRAC and LOTOTO.
Good communication skills and co-ordination with stakeholders' operation department, procurement team.
