We are looking for an experienced EMR Manager to oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system across our hospital. The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure seamless EMR operations, improve clinical workflows, drive user adoption, and support digital healthcare initiatives while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations and performance of the EMR system.
- Coordinate with IT teams and software vendors to resolve application issues and implement system enhancements.
- Monitor system performance, incidents, and service requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Analyze and optimize clinical workflows within the EMR platform.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to improve system utilization.
- Lead EMR implementation, upgrades, migrations, and enhancement projects.
- Prepare project plans, manage timelines, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for clinical and non-clinical users.
- Create user manuals, SOPs, and training materials to support EMR adoption.
- Maintain clinical master data, templates, forms, and documentation standards.
- Generate EMR reports, dashboards,
and utilization analytics for management.
- Monitor documentation quality, physician adoption, and compliance with hospital policies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy standards, and NABH guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5 - 10 years of experience in EMR/EHR implementation, support, or hospital information systems.
- Experience in multi-specialty hospitals is preferred.
- Experience leading digital transformation or EMR implementation projects.
- Exposure to NABH accreditation processes is desirable.
Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of EMR/EHR and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Understanding of hospital clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation and healthcare regulations.
- Project management and stakeholder management skills.
- User training and change management experience.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of databases and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
