Key Responsibilities

Working under the guidance and technical direction of the Tax Tech Lead, the SAP Tax Functional Consultant will:

Global SAP Tax Process Ownership

- Manage daily support and execution of global SAP Tax processes across FI, MM, SD, VIM, Concur, and related finance applications.
- Lead functional support for statutory reporting, e-invoicing, DRC, Intrastat, withholding tax, deferred tax, rebate settlements, and country-specific compliance.
- Configure and support SAP tax functionality in S/4HANA, ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations.
- Provide expertise for tax regimes in Brazil, Turkey, EU, Russia, India, and the US.
- Assess SAP capabilities and recommend solutions for new tax requirements.

Tax Engine & System Integrations

- Manage SAP tax determination integrations with external tax engines (e.g., OneSource).
- Support tax flows via IDOCs, XML, APIs, exceptions, and reconciliations.
- Integrate with Deloitte Extractor, MasterSAF, Sovos, EXA, OneStream, Thomson Reuters, EDWIN, and other tax applications.
- Validate tax master data and troubleshoot interface failures.

Transfer Pricing & Solution Delivery

- Support implementation of SAP Transfer Pricing solutions.




- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, Clean Core principles, and documentation standards.

Data Automation & Innovation

- Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows for tax data extraction, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Identify automation opportunities and support AI-driven tax determination initiatives.
- Contribute to global deployment of cutting-edge tax solutions.

Solution Delivery & Continuous Improvement

- Gather business requirements and translate into scalable SAP solutions.
- Prepare functional specs, process documentation, and workflows.
- Support enhancements, upgrades, testing, and deployments.
- Analyze custom developments and recommend improvements.
- Drive continuous process improvements aligned with the Tax Tech roadmap.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Tax, Finance, Procurement, O2C, P2P, VIM, Concur, Enterprise Architecture, and external partners.
- Act as primary functional support for SAP Tax production issues.
- Guide GPOs, business users, developers, and project teams on SAP tax capabilities.
- Escalate architectural and strategic design decisions to the Tax Tech Lead.
