Role & responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across EPCs, OEMs, PSUs, consultants and end users.
- Build and maintain solid customer relationships and conduct technical and commercial discussions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements.

2. Tender & RFQ Management

- Lead participation in government and private tenders through portals such as GEM, CPPP, Tender Wizard, mJunction and other e-procurement platforms.
- Review tender/RFQ requirements and ensure accurate, timely submission of technical and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Production and Dispatch teams for bid preparation and order execution.

3. Key Account Management

- Manage strategic customer accounts and ensure timely follow-up of enquiries, quotations and negotiations.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.




- Drive order conversion and business retention.

4. Team Coordination & Reporting

- Guide and support the Business Development team in achieving departmental objectives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports and business development plans.
- Monitor enquiry pipeline, order booking and sales performance.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
- 812 years of experience in Business Development, Industrial Sales or Tender Management, preferably in the Valve Manufacturing or Engineering Industry.
- Sound knowledge of industrial valves, government tenders, GEM portal and e-procurement platforms.
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
