Job Description: A Shift Incharge Operations for a steel manufacturing company manages daily, on-site production, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets. They lead the shift crew, coordinate with maintenance for machine uptime, optimize raw material usage, and ensure accurate reporting and handover. Key Responsibilities:

- Production Management: Execute the daily production plan, monitor operational parameters (e.g., kiln temp, furnace output), and meet tonnage targets.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (e.g., 5S, PPE usage) to ensure zero-accident operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate workers, handling staffing, discipline, and performance during the shift.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and resolve equipment breakdowns.
- Quality Control:



Monitor material quality during production to maintain standards.
- Reporting: Prepare shift reports on production statistics, downtime, and material consumption.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Typically a Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience as a shift supervisor in a steel plant (e.g., DRI/Sponge Iron/Ferro-alloy) is generally required.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of furnace operations, production planning, and troubleshooting.
- Leadership: Solid leadership, communication, and decision-making skills under high-pressure conditions.
