Job Description: A Steel Plant Dumper (or Tipper) Driver safely operates heavy vehicles (like Hywa or articulated dump trucks) to haul raw materials like iron ore, coal, scrap metal, and slag within plant premises. The role requires completing delivery quotas without accidents while strictly following plant safety protocols . [1, 2, 3, 4] Key Responsibilities

- Vehicle Operation: Drive large, specialized dump trucks (e.g., 20+ ton tippers) over short distances to transport bulk loads between the raw material yard, blast furnaces, and storage areas . [1, 2]
- Loading & Unloading: Coordinate with excavator and shovel operators during loading. Use hydraulic controls to safely tip the bed and discharge loads . [1, 2, 3]
- Maintenance & Checks: Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections (e.g., brakes, hydraulics, tires). Report mechanical issues and perform basic preventative maintenance. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Safety Compliance:

Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or Heavy Commercial Driver’s License.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience driving heavy dump trucks or tippers, ideally in industrial or mining environments.
- Skillset: Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic mechanisms, and general plant traffic rules .
- Physical & Mental Fitness: High spatial awareness, positive eyesight, no history of traffic accidents, and the ability to work long shifts in demanding, dusty conditions
