AVP - Azure Cloud Application Support

Summary -
An exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced technology professional to own Investment Application Support and drive service improvement across the Azure Cloud environment. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, technology partners, and third-party cloud service providers to ensure high-quality support for business-critical applications while meeting audit, compliance, regulatory, and service delivery requirements.

M&G; Global Services, part of M&G;, within the Asset Management Technology and Change function, offering an opportunity to lead Cloud Application Support and service improvement initiatives for critical Investment applications.

Responsibilities - * Own Cloud Application Support activities and drive continuous Service Improvement across the Azure Cloud environment.

- Resolve stakeholder queries and business-critical application issues end-to-end while ensuring effective monitoring, alerting, issue tracking, and resolution documentation.
- Collaborate with Platform Leads, Engineering teams, Application Support teams, and third-party Cloud Service Providers to enhance service delivery and stakeholder experience.
- Provide 24x7 support for business-critical applications and act as the point of contact for Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Failover activities.
- Lead solution design for Service Improvement initiatives and present solutions to relevant design forums for approval.





Requirements - * Graduate in any discipline with 12+ years of overall software engineering experience and 6+ years of Service Management experience.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Azure services including Storage Accounts, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Azure Analysis Services, App Service, Application Insights, and Application Service Plans.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Data Lake Storage & Analytics, Key Vault, Service Bus, SQL Database, Container Registry, and API Connections.
- Experience handling complex Azure-related issues, working in fast-paced Agile environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of ITIL guiding principles, Follow-the-Sun support models, and tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and CMDB.
