Job Description Position Title: Manager – Structures

n Reports to: Senior Manager – Workshop Operations

n A. Job Purpose
n To lead and manage Structures, Sheet Metal, Composite, and Painting maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft structural integrity, compliance with regulatory standards, high-quality workmanship, and on-time delivery of maintenance tasks while maintaining safety and cost efficiency.
n B. Key Accountabilities
n n Ensure all sheet metal, composite repair, and painting activities are carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data, AMM, SRM, CMM, and regulatory requirements.
n Plan, monitor, and control structural repairs, corrosion control, composite repairs, and painting tasks on the Airline fleet.
n Ensure only approved parts, materials, consumables, tools, and equipment with valid documentation are used during maintenance activities.
n Conduct routine inspections and surveys to identify structural defects, corrosion, damage, and paint deterioration, and plan rectification actions.
n Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards within the workshop and on aircraft.
n Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Quality, MCC, and Engineering teams to ensure timely availability of materials and smooth execution of maintenance activities.
n n Team Management
n n Conduct competency assessments and annual performance appraisals of Sheet Metal, Composite, and Painting staff.
n Mentor, train, and develop team members to enhance technical skills and compliance awareness.
n Ensure optimal manpower utilization and shift planning to meet operational requirements.
n n Any other additional responsibility may be assigned from time to time as a standalone project or as part of regular duties, duly agreed upon between the incumbent, reporting officer, and HR.

n n 10+2 (PCM) or equivalent
n AME Training from a DGCA-approved institution
n DGCA (I) AME License with appropriate Company Authorization / Type Rating in relevant aircraft categories

n 12 years of hands-on experience in Structures, Sheet Metal, Composite Repair, and Painting on transport category aircraft in a scheduled airline or MRO
n 10 years on Narrow Body (A320 Family) and/or 8 years on Wide Body (B777 / B787)
