Job Description Position Summary
n Hartek Group is looking for a Civil Design Engineer with experience in EHV/HV Substation design to join our Engineering team in Mohali. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the structural and civil design of AIS/GIS substations and be proficient in STAAD.Pro for analysis and design of substation structures and foundations.
n Key Responsibilities
n n Prepare civil and structural designs for AIS/GIS substations up to 400/765 kV.
n Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD.Pro.
n Design foundations for transformers, gantries, equipment, control buildings, switchyards, cable trenches, and boundary walls.
n Prepare RCC and structural steel design calculations.
n Develop GA drawings, foundation drawings, reinforcement detailing, and structural layouts.
n Coordinate with Electrical, Primary, Secondary, and Project teams during engineering.
n Ensure designs comply with IS Codes, NBC, IEC, and client specifications.




n Review vendor drawings and provide technical approvals.
n Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and technical documentation.
n Support tender engineering with quantity estimation and preliminary layouts.
n Optimize designs for cost, constructability, and project execution.
n Coordinate with site teams to resolve construction-related engineering issues.
n n Required Qualifications
n n B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
n M.Tech (Structural Engineering).
n n Experience
n n 2–6 years of experience in Civil Design for EHV/HV Substations.
n Experience in Power EPC, Transmission & Distribution, or Electrical Infrastructure projects.
n Hands-on experience in AIS/GIS Substation design.
n Experience working with EPC organizations is preferred.
