Job Description:

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. As a full-time Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing a range of accounting tasks for our clients. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial concepts and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills.

For some of our clients, you will work with them directly for a set number of hours per month; for other clients, you will work internally to handle finance and accounting tasks for them without direct client communication.

Duties
- Monthly reports, create metrics, generate ratios, cash flow, forecasting, etc.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Make recommendations to clients regarding all things finance and accounting
- Generate or improve processes for clients’ SOP
- Assist the client’s CFO, CEO, or Accounting Manager with their various finance and accounting tasks
- Assist clients with the month-end closing
- Monthly review of client financial statements to identify and troubleshoot issues (e.g., reconciliations, mapping to Payroll systems, returned payments, etc.)
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Coordinate with the reporting manager
- Communicate with clients and team members
- Coordinate and communicate with internal staff

Qualifications
- Strong command of the English language in conversation
- 2 years of proven experience in managing a team of >2 staff
- 5 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper in QuickBooks Online (QBO)



or Desktop
- Have experience with companies with <$15 million in annual revenue
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of financial concepts and procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours
40 hours per week. Pacific Time Zone.
