Job Title: Senior Instrumentation & Automation Engineer

Role Purpose

The Senior Instrumentation & Automation Engineer will be responsible for leading automation and control system design activities while ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves automation architecture development, instrumentation design, validation support, and commissioning of systems for regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Architecture

- Develop and define control philosophy for automation systems.
- Design and review automation architecture.
- Define and implement PLC, SCADA, and BMS integration strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.

2. Instrumentation Design
- Review and validate I/O lists, loop diagrams, and instrumentation drawings.
- Select and specify field instruments and control devices.
- Ensure instrumentation designs comply with project and regulatory requirements.

3. CSV & Regulatory Compliance
- Support preparation and review of URS (User Requirement Specification), FRS (Functional Requirement Specification), and DQ (Design Qualification) documents.
- Ensure compliance with GAMP 5 guidelines and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.




- Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Testing & Commissioning
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Participate in system integration testing and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot automation and instrumentation issues during project execution and startup.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

- 6 to 8 years of experience in Instrumentation, Automation, and Control Systems Engineering.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Process Industries is preferred.
