Job Description:

A Maintenance Officer/Executive in a corrugated box manufacturing plant ensures maximum uptime of heavy machinery like corrugators, die-cutters, and folder-gluers. This critical role minimizes production downtime and waste through scheduled preventive maintenance and immediate breakdown troubleshooting.

Core Responsibilities

- Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Execute and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for heavy-duty rotary die-cutters, automatic 3/5/7-ply corrugator lines, printer slotters, and folder-gluers.
- Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical panels, drives, PLCs, motors, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and mechanical drives.
- Spare Parts Management: Maintain an optimal inventory of critical spares, consumables, and wear-and-tear parts to prevent supply-chain delays.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols (e.g., OSHA/GMP) to maintain a secure working environment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train,



and schedule shift technicians and helpers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Equipment Availability/Uptime: Measure and maintain maximum operational efficiency of the corrugation lines.
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) & Mean Time to Repair (MTTR): Track and improve machine reliability.
- Maintenance Budget Control: Manage repair costs and minimize excessive overtime.
- Breakdown Reduction: Achieve a steady decline in unplanned equipment failures.

Essential Qualifications
- Education: ITI Fitter / B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 10+ years in the packaging, paper, or printing industry, with specific exposure to automatic corrugated plants.
- Technical Skills: Robust understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics (AC/DC drives, PLCs), and mechanical power transmission. Familiarity with SAP/ERP for maintenance logs is highly
