Positive knowledge of Shielding head machine operating, programing and setting, trouble shooting of machine operation and maintaining records & knowledge of Production documentation.
- Programming: Developing, editing, and troubleshooting CNC programs for sliding head lathes, often using CAM software or Fanuc controls, from technical drawings.
- Machine Setting: Setting up machines, including installing tooling, setting up bar feeders, and ensuring the machine is prepared for safe and efficient production.
- Operations & Optimization: Operating the machines, optimizing cycle times, improving tool life, and reducing manufacturing costs while maintaining high quality.
- Quality Control: Conducting "first-off" inspection of parts and performing ongoing quality checks using metrology tools to ensure compliance with strict tolerance requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing technical issues with programs, tools, or machine settings during production.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation, such as setup sheets and tool change logs.
