We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with solid experience in the transformers industry. The ideal candidate must have hands-on knowledge of CT–PT (Current Transformer & Potential Transformer) testing and a solid understanding of transformer design principles, standards, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop transformer components, assemblies, and related systems as per project requirements.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and design validation to ensure compliance with electrical and mechanical specifications.
- Apply CT–PT testing knowledge to validate design integrity and performance.
- Prepare technical drawings, design documents, BOMs, and engineering reports.
- Support the production, testing, and quality teams during manufacturing and testing phases.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards (IS/IEC) and internal quality guidelines.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D;, Procurement, Quality, and Sales.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/Diploma).
- Mandatory: Experience in the transformers industry.
- Must-have: Strong knowledge of CT–PT testing and transformer testing procedures.
- Good understanding of transformer design, material selection, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with type testing and routine testing of transformers.
- Knowledge of insulation systems, winding designs, and core design.
- Exposure to quality standards and certification processes.
