Role Description
n
n
- Conduct cost audits and ensure compliance with applicable cost accounting standards and regulations.
n
- Prepare and review cost sheets, cost statements, and product-wise costing.
n
- Analyse raw material, labour, overhead, production, and inventory costs.
n
- Monitor and analyse material consumption, production costs, wastage, scrap, and process losses.
n
- Perform standard vs. actual cost and variance analysis.
n
- Support inventory valuation. and reconciliation of physical and book inventory.
n
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
n
- Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Production, Purchase, Stores,
and Operations teams for accurate cost data.
n
- Review manufacturing expenses and allocation of direct and indirect costs.
n
- Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
n
- Ensure accurate costing for new products and existing product lines.
n
- Verify cost records and supporting documents for audit requirements.
n
- Support statutory, internal, and external audits related to cost accounting.
n
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of cost audit reports.

Skills & Qualifications
n
n
- CMA qualification is mandatory.
n
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing company
n
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and cost audit.
n
- Experience in product costing and manufacturing cost analysis
n
- Good understanding of BOM, production processes, inventory, wastage, scrap, and overhead allocation.
n
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
n
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and meet audit/reporting deadlines.
n

Note:
n
n
- We are looking for a CMA-qualified Cost Auditor with strong experience in the manufacturing industry to manage cost accounting, cost audits, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost-control activities.
n
- The candidate should have good knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to analyse cost data and provide actionable insights to management.
