- Design, develop, manufacture, and repair high-precision progressive tools, dies, and injection molds.
- Ensure proper maintenance and timely refurbishment of tools to maximize tool life.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
- Provide continuous tooling support to ensure zero downtime in press shop operations.
- Coordinate with production teams to meet output and quality targets.
- Supervise CNC, EDM, wire-cut, and conventional machining operations.
- Ensure tooling is manufactured within required tolerances and specifications.
- Monitor machining processes and implement improvements for efficiency.
- Ensure tools produce components as per customer specifications (dimensional accuracy and conductivity).
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain quality standards.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Manage tool inventory and ensure availability of critical materials and spares.
- Handle procurement of raw materials such as die steel.
- Optimize tooling costs through effective planning and process improvements.
- Lead, train, and mentor tool room staff and toolmakers.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintenance procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tooling and processes.
