- Testing and inspection: Test electrical installations and equipment according to safety regulations and industrial standards. This includes using tools like a megger to locate faults.
- Equipment operation: Operate and maintain various electrical equipment, including pumps and flameproof or intrinsically safe apparatus.
- Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety precautions and protocols,



especially in potentially hazardous environments like a coal mine or washery. This includes being trained to recognize and respond to methane gas levels.
- Documentation: Maintain logbooks and records of all electrical tests, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime.

Required skills and qualifications
