Job Description:

A Civil Design Engineer designs the civil and structural components of substations, including buildings, foundations, site grading, and underground utilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Design and Analysis:

- Develop civil and structural design of RCC & Steel structures for substation buildings & equipments including precast and cast-in-situ components of Lattice structures.
- Design and analyze structural systems for cable tunnels, trenches, duct banks, manholes, and underground utilities.
- Design foundations for outdoor equipment like surge arresters, power transformers, static VAR generators (SVG) and design calculation of Lattice structure for equipments.
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and documentation for substation projects and BBS, BOM preparation.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Coordination and Collaboration:

- Work closely with electrical engineers, other disciplines,



and multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and safe solutions.
- Coordinate with site execution teams to address any design-related issues.

Project Management:

- Create civil-structural project scopes, estimates, budgets, and schedules for substation projects.
- Review designs and drawings, and provide technical clarifications.

Technical Expertise:

- Possess a solid understanding of civil and structural engineering principles.
- Be familiar with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Have experience with CAD software and other design tools.
- Software Knowledge: AutoCAD, Stud Pro, ETAB

Other Tasks:

- Collect project details from clients and vendors.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical support to site execution teams.
- Participate in pre-award vendor evaluations.
