The HR Recruiter/Generalist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process and providing comprehensive HR support to ensure the smooth operation of the school’s HR functions. This role involves talent acquisition, employee onboarding, HR administration, and supporting various HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment and HR practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates for teaching and non-teaching positions.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Coordinate and conduct recent employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the school community and are aware of school policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain onboarding materials and documentation.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely submission of payroll information.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment and inquiries.
Employee Relations:
- Provide support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment by organizing employee engagement activities and events.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and school policies.
- Prepare and submit HR reports and documentation as required.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary HR information.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for staff.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Recruiter, HR Generalist, or in a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, recruitment techniques, and labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
