Job Title: Accountant – Jewellery Industry

Location: [Ahmedabad]
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Proprietor
Experience: 2–5 years (preferably in jewellery or retail sector)

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain day-to-day accounting records including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

- Handle jewellery stock accounting, including gold, diamond, and other precious metals.

- Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory filings in a timely manner.

- Manage purchase and sales bills, GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B, and reconcile returns.

- Reconcile gold weight and purity-based inventory across stores and books.

- Coordinate with sales and showroom staff for billing and stock matching.

- Finalize accounts, maintain ledgers, and prepare financial statements.





- Liaise with auditors for internal/external audits specific to the jewellery business.

- Monitor petty cash, banking transactions, and vendor payments.

- Ensure compliance with government regulations related to the jewellery trade.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com or CA Inter preferred).

- 2–5 years of accounting experience in jewellery, bullion, or retail sector.

- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and jewellery ERP software (e.g., Jwelly, Marg).

- Knowledge of gold accounting, hallmarking norms, and GST implications in jewellery.

- Robust attention to detail and ability to manage high-value inventory records.
