An ASST. FITTER (or Assistant Fitter) is responsible for assisting skilled fitters in various aspects of mechanical fitting and assembly. They may also be referred to as a Fitter, especially in smaller roles. The ASST. FITTER works under the guidance of a senior fitter and may perform a variety of tasks, including preparing materials, using hand tools, and assisting with assembly and maintenance.
