- Plan works and oversee their execution through department officers in coordination with the plant on a daily basis
- Plan for preventive maintenance and its implementation
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and computer-generated reports.
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Allocate work plan to contractors and issue permits accordingly on a daily basis
- Check and maintain utility consumption records on a daily basis
- Prepare ERs and indents on a daily basis
- Confer with engineers /other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation,
and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work
- Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible current applications and necessity of modification.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
