Role Description The AI Safety & Governance Specialist is a full time, on-site role based in Abroad . This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring AI safety protocols and governance frameworks that align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

The specialist will assess risks associated with AI tools used in immigration and consulting processes, conduct regular audits, and recommend safeguards to ensure responsible, ethical, and secure AI usage. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting policies, delivering safety training related to AI systems, and investigating any incidents or near-misses linked to AI operations. The role also requires staying updated on global AI safety guidelines and helping Esse India maintain compliance and best practices in technology-enabled consulting services.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge to ensure safe and responsible use of AI systems in operational workflows.
Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS)



and Safety Training skills to develop and deliver effective AI safety and governance training programs.
Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills to analyze AI-related incidents, identify root causes, and propose corrective and preventive measures.
Relevant experience in AI risk management, technology governance, or compliance, preferably within consulting, professional services, or regulated industries.
Solid analytical, documentation, and policy-writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex safety concepts in explicit, accessible language.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Ethics, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in AI governance or safety are an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of AI deployment.
