B.Sc. Costume Design & Fashion (CDF), or
B.Tech/B.Sc. Fashion Technology

Roles & Responsibilities
Develop garment designs based on buyer requirements and market trends. Create sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.
Prepare colour palettes, fabric, trim, and print selections. Coordinate with merchandising, sampling, pattern making, and production teams.
Develop samples and ensure design accuracy during the sampling process—research current fashion trends, fabrics, colours, and silhouettes.
Maintain design documentation, tech packs, and style files. Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and production requirements. Incorporate customer feedback and revise designs as required.

Required Skills
Strong creativity and visualisation skills. Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator,



Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, or similar design software. Understanding of fashion trends, colour theory, and textile materials.
Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills. Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

Preferred Skills
Internship or project experience in apparel or textile design.
Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes.
Ability to prepare technical specifications and presentation boards
