We are looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused Academic Counselor to join our team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for candidates with a medical or healthcare background who are fluent in both Tamil and English and enjoy guiding students in making informed academic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel prospective students and understand their educational background, interests, and career goals.
Provide accurate information regarding academic programs, eligibility criteria, admission processes, and timelines.
Handle student enquiries through phone calls, messaging platforms, email, and other communication channels.
Assist students throughout the admission and onboarding process.
Review and verify submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students and parents.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a smooth student experience.
Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality of student information.
Eligibility
BDS or a degree in a medical or healthcare-related field.
Fluency in Tamil and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
Ability to build rapport with students and parents.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
Comfortable working from the office in Bangalore.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, healthcare, or education is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of higher education admissions and student guidance.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools is a plus.
