Role Description The Audit Tax Assistant role at VirtuAxel is a full time, in office position based in Mangaluru.

The Audit Tax

Assistant will support audit and tax engagements by preparing working papers, assisting in statutory and internal audits, and maintaining accurate documentation of client records.

Responsibilities include collecting and verifying financial data, assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns and other compliance-related forms, and helping reconcile accounts and ledgers. The role involves coordinating with senior team members to ensure timely completion of audit and tax assignments, responding to client queries under guidance, and maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy.

Assistant will also contribute to process improvements and help ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in accounting, auditing principles, and direct and indirect tax concepts.





Candidates should possess skills in financial data analysis, documentation, and reconciliation of accounts and ledgers.

Candidates should possess proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software, along with basic IT literacy for handling digital records.

Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, time management, and attention to detail.

Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively with audit and tax teams, adapt to changing priorities, and handle multiple assignments.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field is preferred; internship or prior experience in audit or tax compliance is an advantage.

Knowledge of Indian tax regulations and compliance procedures, along with a commitment to continuous learning and skilled ethics, will be beneficial.
