Job Objective:

To administer, secure, and optimize enterprise database systems, ensuring high availability, data integrity, performance, and compliance for mission-critical Government and organizational applications.

Core Responsibilities& Requirements:
Install and configure SQL Server on Windows and Linux.
DR & Near DR Setup.
Implement and manage Always On Availability Groups.
Perform query optimization using Query Store and execution plans.
Manage Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.
Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and SQL Agent.
Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Manage database security, auditing, and encryption (TDE).
Perform capacity planning and monitor resource utilization.
Support developers with T-SQL tuning and index design.
Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
Troubleshoot deadlocks, blocking,



and connectivity issues.
Monitor health using SQL Server Profiler and Extended Events.
Manage SSIS packages and ETL processes.
Implement Row-Level Security and Data Masking.
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the DB workplace.

Candidate Profile Details

Essential Criteria

Education:

BE / B.Tech (in any stream)

OR

PG Degree IT/CS or equivalent

Experience: Overall experience of 8 years out of which minimum 5 years shall be of DBA profile.

Desirable Skills & Experience
High availability and DR solutions
Cloud-based database platforms
Scripting and automation
Advanced performance tuning skills
Technology benchmarking experience.
Candidate should be self-driven and capable of generating PoC (Proof of concepts) directly and through a team.
Work experience must span over 2 turnkey IT assignments (min) with team size > 50.
