Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter & Programmer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while ensuring quality, productivity, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for machining components.
Set up CNC Turning and/or VMC/HMC machines as per production requirements.
Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and process sheets.
Perform first-piece inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy.
Optimize cycle times and improve machining efficiency.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot machining issues.
Conduct tool offset adjustments and machine parameter settings.
Ensure production meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Maintain 5S practices and follow all safety procedures.
Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
Train and support CNC operators when required.

Required Skills




Robust knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or equivalent controls).
Experience in CNC Turning Centers and/or Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T.;
Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection, feeds, and speeds.
Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling problems.
Understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and quality standards.

Qualifications
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a CNC Setter & Programmer.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Edgecam, SolidCAM, or similar).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering industries.
