Role & responsibilities
Design sheet metal parts, assemblies, cabinets, brackets, panels, and enclosures using CAD software.
Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
Apply sheet metal design principles including bend allowance, bend deduction, K-factor, reliefs, hems, and tolerances.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability.
Develop flat patterns and nesting data for manufacturing.
Review customer specifications and convert them into detailed engineering designs.
Support prototype development and resolve manufacturing-related design issues.
Optimize designs for cost, weight, strength, and ease of fabrication.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Skills
Experience in enclosure, kiosk, or Office Furniture Design
Knowledge of sheet metal material selection (CRCA, SS, Aluminium, GI, etc.).
Robust problem-solving and communication skills.
