Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical/Quality Engineering or CIPET (Plastic Technology).
Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Plastic Injection Moulding or Automotive Paint Shop processes is mandatory.
Audit Exposure: Hands-on experience and solid understanding of MSIL / MACE VSA Audits, ISO, and IATF 16949 quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Inspection & Supplier Quality:
Inspect incoming raw materials and bought-out parts as per the Sampling Plan.
Issue Supplier Non-Conformity reports and verify corrective actions at the supplier end.
Maintain test certificates, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and inspection reports.
In-Process & Pre-Dispatch Quality Control:
Perform daily in-process inspections, line setups, and set-up approvals.
Issue pre-dispatch inspection (PDI) reports and test certificates to the dispatch department.
Manage limit samples, limit sample revalidations, and initial production control criteria.
Standards, Documentation & Compliance:
Draft and update inspection standards and Work Instructions (WI) based on internal and customer feedback.
Maintain quality records in accordance with ISO, IATF, and OEM customer audit frameworks (MACE / MSIL).
Use CMM/ERP software to log quality data and track inspection metrics.
Quality Tools & Testing:
Implement SPC, MSA, 7 QC Tools, 5S, Kaizen, and Quality Circle activities.
Conduct poison tests, deliver quality training, and verify effectiveness.
Handle and calibrate testing instruments such as Gloss Meter, DFT Meter, and Color Comparator.
