Fabric Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise Production
Monitor daily fabric production activities.
Ensure production targets are achieved on time.
Coordinate with weaving, knitting, dyeing, or finishing departments.
Maintain Quality Standards
Inspect fabric for defects such as stains, holes, color variation, and weaving faults.
Ensure products meet customer and company quality requirements.
Work with the quality control team to resolve issues.
Manage Workers
Assign daily tasks to operators and helpers.
Train current employees on work procedures and safety practices.
Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance.
Inventory Control
Track fabric stock, raw materials, and finished goods.
Ensure accurate inventory records.
Coordinate with the warehouse for material movement.
Machine and Equipment Monitoring
Ensure machines are operating efficiently.
Report maintenance requirements and coordinate repairs.
Minimize machine downtime.
Safety and Compliance
Enforce workplace safety rules and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).




Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work workplace.
Production Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Record production output, waste, downtime, and quality issues.
Report progress and challenges to management.
Problem Solving
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Resolve worker concerns and production-related issues quickly.
Coordinate with maintenance, planning, and quality teams.
Customer and Delivery Coordination
Ensure production schedules meet customer delivery deadlines.
Support urgent orders and prioritize production when required.

Required Skills
Knowledge of fabric manufacturing processes (weaving, knitting, dyeing, and finishing)
Leadership and team management
Quality inspection and defect identification
Production planning and scheduling
Communication and problem-solving skills
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP systems)
