Position: Fire Fighting Technician

Key Responsibilities
Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot fire fighting systems across the University campus.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hose reels, fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, and related equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure all fire safety systems remain operational and compliant with statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external vendors for servicing, repairs, and annual maintenance of fire safety equipment.
Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
Support emergency response activities and ensure adherence to fire safety regulations and University policies.





Qualifications & Skills
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of fire fighting systems in commercial, institutional, or industrial facilities.
Sound knowledge of fire protection systems, fire alarm panels, pumps, hydrants, and applicable fire safety standards.
Positive troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills.
