Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Typesetter to join our Production team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality print and digital publications using Adobe InDesign, including page composition, pagination, formatting, and mathematical content. You will work across books, journals, magazines, educational, STM, K-12, and qualified publishing projects while ensuring compliance with publisher specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
Create and format page layouts using Adobe InDesign according to project specifications and templates.
Perform typesetting, pagination, and page composition for books, journals, magazines, and digital publications.
Apply typography standards, paragraph styles, character styles, and master pages.
Import and format content from Microsoft Word, XML, or other source files.
Place and position images, tables,



charts, equations, and illustrations accurately.
Ensure consistent formatting, alignment, spacing, and page design throughout the publication.
Prepare print-ready PDF files that meet publisher and printer specifications.
Perform preflight checks and resolve layout, font, and formatting issues.
Implement author corrections, proofreader comments, and quality control revisions.
Work closely with editors, designers, XML teams, QA teams, and production coordinators.
Follow production schedules and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain version control and proper file management throughout the production process.
Support template development and workflow improvements when required.
