Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Lead / Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including procurement, receiving, deployment, tracking, maintenance, transfer, and disposal.

Maintain accurate hardware asset inventory within IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools and CMDB.

Ensure asset records are updated throughout the asset lifecycle with complete ownership and location details.

Perform regular asset reconciliation between procurement records, discovery tools, CMDB, and physical inventory.

Conduct periodic asset audits and inventory verification across multiple locations.

Monitor hardware compliance with organizational policies and governance standards.

Coordinate hardware procurement, asset allocation, refresh cycles, and warranty management.

Track hardware warranties, lease agreements, maintenance contracts, and vendor support renewals.





Support onboarding and offboarding activities by ensuring timely allocation and recovery of IT assets.

Generate asset utilization, inventory, compliance, lifecycle, and depreciation reports for management.

Collaborate with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Vendor Management teams.

Identify prospects to optimize hardware utilization and reduce unnecessary procurement costs.

Ensure secure and compliant disposal of end-of-life (EOL) and obsolete hardware assets.

Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset documentation and reports.

Develop and maintain hardware asset management policies, SOPs, and process documentation.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in IT Asset Management processes.
