Job Title: Multi-Cuisine Head Chef

Location: Maifloer FarmStays, Masti- Karnataka Job Summary:

We're looking for a passionate, farm-to-table–minded Head Chef to lead our kitchen and craft diverse, seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced and farm-grown produce. You'll oversee all culinary operations, manage a small team, and deliver memorable dining experiences across multiple cuisines for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute daily menus spanning multiple cuisines (e.g., Indian, Continental, Asian, regional/local specialties)

Design menus around seasonal, farm-fresh, and locally sourced ingredients

Manage kitchen staff — hiring, training, scheduling, and performance

Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency standards

Oversee inventory, procurement, and vendor/farmer relationships

Ensure hygiene, safety, and FSSAI compliance in the kitchen

Manage food costing, portion control, and budgets

Coordinate with front-of-house/hospitality team for guest preferences, dietary needs, and special requests (events, weddings, retreats)

Innovate with farm produce — pickles, preserves, breads, dairy,



etc.

Handle special events, group bookings, and curated dining experiences (e.g., farm-to-table dinners, cooking demos for guests)

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Chef, with at least 2 years in a Head Chef/Sous Chef role

Proven expertise across multiple cuisines

Experience with farm-to-table or sustainable cooking practices preferred

Strong leadership and team management skills

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Willingness to work in a rural/resort setting, versatile schedule including weekends/holidays

Culinary degree or equivalent skilled certification preferred

Nice to Have

Experience running a small-scale kitchen or boutique hospitality property

Baking, fermentation, or preserving skills

Familiarity with organic farming/produce cycles
