Data Architect Snowflake & dbt

Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehouse Development, or Data Architecture.
Solid hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt is mandatory.
Experience in designing and developing scalable data warehouse and analytics solutions on Snowflake.
Solid expertise in data architecture, solution design, and data modeling, including Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault concepts.
Experience in designing and building ETL/ELT data pipelines, data ingestion frameworks, and transformations across heterogeneous data sources.
Proficient in SQL programming, query optimization, and database development using Snowflake and dbt.
Strong experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and client teams, leading requirement discussions, solution walkthroughs, and technical design sessions.
Ability to own end-to-end solution design, provide architectural guidance, and drive best practices for data engineering and analytics implementations.




Experience with dbt for modular development, testing, documentation, and deployment.
Good understanding of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and impact analysis.
Ability to capture, document, and maintain data lineage, ETL workflows, and technical documentation.
Experience in component validation, deployment, unit testing, and production support.
Experience working with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Experience with scheduling/orchestration tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Cron, or similar enterprise schedulers.
Experience working with distributed computing systems and modern cloud-based data platforms.
Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and Agile development methodologies is preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with client stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to solution reviews and design governance.
