Position Overview:

The HR Intern supports faculty recruitment, candidate engagement, and HR operations at GM University. This learning-intensive role offers hands-on experience with recruitment platforms, AI tools, and higher education governance within the Karnataka State Private Universities Act and UGC Regulations (as amended from time to time).

Reports to: HR Manager | Duration: 45 days (can be extended upto 3 months), Full time | Location: GMU Campus, Davanagere

Key Responsibilities:
· Recruitment Operations – Source candidates, conduct preliminary screenings, manage job postings on LinkedIn/Naukri, maintain candidate database
· Creation – Draft and refine JDs for faculty roles (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) aligned to UGC/AICTE compliance standards
· Candidate Engagement – Segment candidates into tiers (hot/warm/talent pool), execute WhatsApp/email outreach, track pipeline metrics
· AI & CRM Tools – Learn and operationalize AI recruitment tools (resume parsing, candidate matching), manage CRM platform data entry and reporting
· Administrative Support – Prepare interview schedules, coordinate with faculty committees,



maintain regulatory compliance records (POSH 2013, DPDP Act 2023), compile HR analytics

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google Suite; comfort with job portals (LinkedIn, Naukri)
Strong written and verbal communication in English; regional languages (Kannada, Telugu) valued

Desirable Qualifications: Prior HR/recruitment internship or entry-level experience | Must handle AI tools | Experience with WhatsApp Business or communication platforms
